So, to answer the specific question; 3 videos would be needed: 1) drive swing 2) chip swing 3) putt It is very difficult for instructors to combine recommendations across various swings when they are very different in nature. No, unfortunately the videos on YouTube are not of high enough resolution to be able to analyze a golf swing. YouTube, and many other video sharing services, minimize the size of video files by decreasing the resolution (size) of the video. We only use high-quality video. Our minimum standards are 640 x 480 video size and 30 fps (frames per second), which represents constant motion.
Unfortunately, No, you can't send us digital pictures instead of video. We take pride in the quality of the analysis and recommendations provided by our instructors, and it is too difficult to provide quality advice based on a still photo. If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth millions, a video analyzed by a MySwingOnline certified instructor is as they say Priceless!
The easiest option is to borrow a camera from your family, friends or neighbors. You can also buy an easy-to-use digital camcorder for as low as $149 that you can not only use for golf swings, but for family events, parties, etc.
Yes. We highly recommend the Flip. For as little as $149, it is very easy to use, easy to connect to a computer (no cables needed) and does a great job in producing high quality video that the PGA Instructor can use during the swing analysis.
At this time we require a single video clip to be uploaded with your swing(s). While we prefer that you send us a clip with a down the line swing and a face on swing, it is not absolutely critical. There are many ways to combine multiple clips into one video. The methods we recommend can be found in our help area. Check our Technical help tab for helpfull information.
Absolutely! …. And it doesn't even have to be a computer! - Cell phones that support standard web browsing will work also. Note that if you are on a public computer (for example in a hotel lobby or at an airport), be sure to logout when completed, so other cannot access your personal data.
We have a 5 day money back guarantee turnaround policy, although most videos are turned around in 1-2 days. If you need your analysis completed faster, we have an expedited feature for an additional charge. The best time to upload a video is Tuesday - Thursday.
